Clair Stoddard
Clair first came to the North Shore in the summer of 1990—and never left. With more than three decades of leadership in local hospitality and tourism, her résumé includes serving as the opening General Manager of Papa Charlie’s at Lutsen Mountains (1996), Human Resource Director at Lutsen Resort (2004), and later General Manager of Lutsen Resort (2016). In 2021, she became Co-Owner of both Cascade Vacation Rentals and Lutsen Real Estate Group, where she brings deep local knowledge, a passion for this place, and a commitment to excellence in everything she does.
Clair’s approach to business is rooted in relationships. She believes deeply in trust, transparency, and community connection. A longtime community leader, she has served on the Cook County Higher Education Board since 2013 and the Sugarbush Trail Association since 2016.
Outside of work, Clair is often found skiing, paddling, hiking, or camping in the BWCA. She raised two daughters on the North Shore and recently became a proud grandmother. (Fun fact: her daughter met her husband while working as a summer intern at Lutsen Resort—hired by Clair herself!)
